- This disclosure presents an official clarification to the report “POSCO speeds up KRW 4 trillion ‘low-carbon steel’ project in Australia,” published by Seoul Business Newspaper on October 21, 2026. - As one of many critical feedstock required to achieve carbon net-zero, the Company is reviewing the feasibility of an HBI (Hot Briquetted Iron) production project in Port Hedland, Western Australia. However, at this review stage, no decisions have been made to the actual investment, specific business structure, or implementation schedule. - If and when specifics are determined, we will make an addendum to this disclosure at or within 1 month of the decision.
